hi experts

I want to make value set ( single value column) dependent upon select statement. How can i do that . i know how to make table dependent value set but i dont know how to make value set dependent upon select statement. lets suppose if i want to make value set based on sql statement like ( select disinct segment1 from mtl_item_category) so how can i make it .. any suggustion and idea

Please help me out of this problem ..

hi Anwar, when u select table name, in that screen u can select one check box item that is Allow parent values.

just select that. hopes that will help u.

thanks alot raju ..

i got results in distinct form .. and my problem is solved but if i would like to make value set results populated against select statment .. what i hae to do ?? i mean how can i get this result .. any idea???

Hi, In the same window, u can find a where column
in that column give the conditions

like where item_id in (select distinct item_id from mtl_item_categories where xxxxx= xxxxx) .

or in the concurrent program parameter window, there is a field
default type , in that select type as SQL STATEMNT , and give the statement in default value.
