HI all,

while starting the oracle listener in SUN OS 5.10..Iam getting the foillowing message,,,Can anyone provide the workaround for the same.

./lsnrctl start
Below is the message iam getting:

LSNRCTL for Solaris: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production on 28-MAY-2008 15:53:04

this is the message iam gettimg while checking the satus:

bash-3.00$ ./lsnrctl status

LSNRCTL for Solaris: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production on 28-MAY-2008 16:39:11

TNS-00511: Message 511 not found; No message file for product=network, facility=TNS
Solaris Error: 146: Connection refused


Coming to ORACLE_HOME & ORACLE_SID ..it is OK.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No listener.ora file is required for Oracle 10g
