I have installed Oracle Applications 11i on Windows and going through documents it is mentioned about ENVRIONMENT SETTINGS of APPL_TOP, COMMON_TOP etc but where are they defined?

From the Command Prompt when I type C:>echo %APPL_TOP% I do not see any output....how we use these variables?

Any idea?

Thanks,
SOHO
