Margin Analysis in Oracle --
When calculating the margins by running the margin analysis report we are using the Frozen Cost of the item (Cost_Type_Id = 1). One of our users has asked if a historical cost can be used to calculate the margins..
For eg. We sold an item for $10 last year -- cost $8 SP - $10
If we changed the cost of the item to $12..When I run the report the margin is different..Instead can we use the cost of $8.... I checked our set up and I don't see the historical information being stored..
Am I correct? Any insights?
