hi! i'd like to know how's the process in creating accounting in AR in r12.. i'm trying to use the 'create accounting' from the 'tools' menu but it says that 'accounting could not be create for this transaction'. also, what's the difference between the online and offline accounting options in the 'create accounting window'? i'm using the vision instance of r12. your response will be appreciated. thanks.

Please read the Forum Guide. Don't post more than 80 characters in a line.
Use Capitals wherever they are needed.

Seems Online Accounting has some error in accounting and couldn't proceed further.
So, you can run Offline Create Accounting, which will submit a concurrent program.
Then you can check the report output for the error details.

As it says

You may need to look at the FND Debug Log (Check Forum Guide for this) (Or) Log an SR with Oracle Support.

By the way, you have one more issue.
Create Accounting normally give the output in pdf format.
Have you changed any settings in the concurrent program definition (Or) in XML Publisher Templates page?
If not, your OPP (Output Pre-Processor) might be down. Cross check with your DBA on that.

No. Since the vision instance that I am using is from solutionbeacon, other users might change the settings.
By the way, I'm trying to make it work alone because there is no DBA in here. Thanks a lot for your help.
