Hi there
Can someone please tell me how to see when the oracle database was last used, I have Oracle version's of 7340, 8150, 8160, 8170 and 9010, any help would be great

look at the logs! everytime the database is mounted / unmounted there will be an entry there.
also if you look at logswitche it will indicate the last active period( it may not be accurate)

Helena,

One way to do it is to see the LISTENER.LOG file. See at the bottom and the last entry is the last connection to the database. There is a time stamp.

Anyhow, this is for connections coming from outside the server. If someone is doing working local, then it may be difficult to trace, unless there is another way to do it.
