Hi ALL,

I have just noticed a thing.

In the view of "database_properties", all the default and permanent settings are listed.
But not about the UNDO tbs information.

We could change the permanent tablespace of TEMP as well as DATA, the same way as UNDO.

Then why it is not included in it.

Regards
M.krish

The undo tablespace is an attribute of the instance, not of the database. It has to be, otherwise RAC wouldn't be possible.

So it's an instance property (you can see in v$system_parameter) not a database one.
