The documentation for starting the Queue Manager and Creating a Queue Database says to do this or to do that “only if you want to crate new database files” I assume that I do want to create new database files because of this:

$ SHOW QUEUE SYS$BATCH
%JBC-E-JOBQUEDIS, system job queue manager is not running

Hmm,

Try -

$ Show queue / manager

should tell you if you have any queue managers setup at all.
If not then you need to create them.

Hi again,

Keep it short this time...Smile Just start the manager by giving the command "$start/queue/manager". If it doesn't it means you don't have any quemanager(db) initialized/created. You then have to create a quemanager(db) with "$start/que/manager/new". Be careful so you don't do it the other way around. That would replace the old quemanager with a new one and if that is not the intention...Sad
