Hi,

We have a oracle database 9.2.0.5 and is setup with raw devices.

I have setup the listener.

When i try to connect from a client with sqlplus i get the following message.


C:\oraclnt\ora920\bin>sqlplus fotdba@idb

SQL*Plus: Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production on Wo Jun 21 15:51:02 2006

Voer wachtwoord in:
ERROR:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01116: error in opening database file 1
ORA-01110: data file 1: '/fnsw/dev/1/oracle_sys0'
ORA-27041: unable to open file
HP-UX Error: 13: Permission denied

Can someone tell me if this is normal or what i can do to fix this.

Is the listener up and the database open? Are you using the correct service name and listener port on the client side?
