Hi,

I have just installed Oracle DB 10g XE on my computer.

1) Wich is the name of DB and the SID? I suspect XE

2) Can I rename this DB and the SID with an other name ?

You didn't mentions which OS you are using.
1. Login to command prompt and run

-- Windows 
 echo %ORACLE_SID%


-- *Unix 
 echo $ORACLE_SID
