I am planning to upgrade our WIN2K Oracle 9i to 10g rel 2. I have read the upgrade documentation for DBUA and Manual upgrades. Our WIN2K is upgraded to 2003. The SA is slicking the box down so we won't have our 9i on that box. We plan to install the 10g only. My question is can I just create a 10g Database then do a full import of my 9i database?..Is this considered a legitimate upgrade? I haven't seen any documentation on just doing export/import upgrades.

Depends on the data and options you are using.
Are you using any of those database options? XML Schema/Spatial/Text etc?
Else ( and if the data is just plain data), export/import will work.
I would first setup a parallel 10g instance, test the application and then do the upgrade once for all.
