Hi Guys,

I just installed Oracle10g Express Edition and struggling to start and configuring the database.
Basically there are two problems.
I can't connect to the database using my Oracle Client
and can't view Database Home Page .

after i do lsnrctl start and start my database i got this status as below

I would like to know why the status of my instance is BLOCKED?

is it installed on windows? - in that case go to services and check whether the tnslinstener service and the database services are running..
