Dear all,
I have to design architecture a server to run only report from a client and i have some question as the following:
1.Should i separate the from the production?
2.How i will move data from production to a server report for fast?
3.How i will config a database for a good performance?

1.Should i separate the from the production?
Ans: Depends on the size of the report database and depends on the reporting requirements ..also depends on the H/W of the server ..
2.How i will move data from production to a server report for fast?
Ans: if the report server is required to be a replicated site of the production server , then multi master replication is one of the recommended options.. you have mat views setup in the reporting site and set their refresh interval as per the requirement.
Ans: Please check metalink / try to google around ..there are many docs available in setting up a database tuned for OLAP requirement ..
