hei everyone

I want to now what is this DB refresh?
I confused with thsi term

Also what is another way to change the database name, apart from creating control file by creating another control file by alter database backup control to trace.

Really i am also confused above word bcoz in what term refresh..

but in database you can say . Re organization. like table reorganization , move tablespace .. for aviod fragamentation.

Also what is another way to change the database name

YOu can use nid utility.

Through above you can create bkp of control file.

In conventional oracle terminology, it means refreshing the database from another database. Usually refreshing a test/dev database from the production database.
The term may also vary depending on the tool you use.
You can just refresh the data (export with rows=n) or data and objects or selected tablespaces or even a whole database (duplicate/clone in RMAN) with a full restore or recover to some point-in-time (TSPITR).
