hello all,
i am work on 10g
After installing new application in it my server is geeting very slow.
After serching, the alter log is of 20GB and it slow for command truncate, it takes so much time
please resloved it

A 20GB alert log? Do you have a TON of log switches taking place on your system? Do you see any errors in your alert log ? You should configure STATSPACK and take snapshots every 10-15 minutes.

Laughing and maybe clean up our alert log
