Hello,

I am new, just starting whit Oracle...

I installed Oracle 9.2 Stanard edition successfully. After i upgraded it to 9.2.0.7. The SQLplus login prompt suddenly claimed the version to be "Enterprise Edition".

I know that i didn't do a mistake since i removed the entire oracle installation did it a again... double checked that it's Stanard... and again after upgrade when login to SQLPlus it said Enterprise Edition.

Even installer log files confirm this...

Am i using a wrong patch or is this a gift from Oracle? Smile

None of the above.
Oracle License Police will arrest you if you use EE options that you have not licensed.
