Dear sir

we have cehcked our server alert message regularly yesterday it shows the following message:



WARNING:Oracle instance running on a system with low open file descriptor
limit. Tune your system to increase this limit to avoid
severe performance degradation.

oracle: 9i (9.2.0.7.0)
OS :Red hat linux


Plz give your vauable suggestion

# - nofile - max number of open files
oracle soft nofile 1024
oracle hard nofile 65536
[root@ng-db1 root]#
